Laws of the Land

Rules! Not everyone likes 'em, but I'm sure you understand they're quite necessary for the smooth running of a dream. Outlined below are the 'house' rules for A Kitsune's Paradise - please bear in mind that the general Furcadian rules are to be adhered to as well.

General Rules

1. Please be courteous to fellow patrons and staff members! There's really no need to resort to name calling and silly arguments amongst each other, is there? No. Didn't think so.

2. If there is a dispute within the dream, whether over in-character actions or out-of-character ones, please bring it to the attention of the Rah or Co-Rahs as soon as possible. We like to avoid the drama-llaming as much as we can, and will do whatever necessary to resolve or end conflicts.

3. If you choose to disregard warnings from the staff members, please do not be unsurprised if you find your butt in the Vinca. Cool off and come back later when you're in a better frame of mind!

4. No OOC actions within the IC area, and no IC actions within the OOC area! They're seperate for a reason, folks. If you must do one or the other when you're not supposed to, keep it to whispers, or go park yourself in the appropriate place.

5. Don't go around provoking fights with peaceful folks for no other purpose than to bully them, unless the other party consents to an IC fight. If any unelicted activity is caught by a staff, it will be stopped with an ejection, otherwise, it is to be reported to staff. This is true for both IC and OOC fights - it is supposed to be a paradise, after all!

6. No spamming. It's annoying. I shouldn't have to say anything more on the matter. Please also limit your use of the caps lock button, for much the same reason.

7. If you're going to idle in the dream, please do it in the OOC area. We're supposed to be roleplaying here, not sleeping!

Continuity

1. Please be sure to read up on the kitsune lore provided on our website. We require that you list your elemental type and number of tails somewhere within your description to enter the IC section - if you don't have a full description yet, that's okay, as we know it takes time to flesh out a character sometimes, but please try to have at least those two things down there.

The only acceptable elements within the continuity of our dream are the ones listed in our lore; if you have something else, you'll be required to either change it or make a new character before being allowed into the IC area. The rest of the lore is just something of a guideline to help you increase your knowledge of kitsune - we don't require you follow it to the fullest extent, as we certainly don't profess to knowing everything about the beasties, and there is a bit of leeway for artistic license, after all.

Do try to use the correct avatar for your number of tails - there is a list on the About page for your convenience!

2. You must post at least three lines while you are IC. We do consider ourselves to be an advanced roleplaying dream, and thus have certain standards to be met. A failure to post three lines will get you ejected on sight.

3. Please make your characters reasonable. Don't powergame, don't god-mode, don't profess to immortality, no autohitting, no metagaming, etc. Such twinky behavior doesn't look good on anyone, and will not be put up with.

4. Absolutely no netspeak is allowed within the IC area, and only some limited responses (such as brb, lol, etc.) are allowed within the OOC area. If you wish to roleplay here, we expect you to have some kind of grasp on the written English language.

5. No characters should be based upon Inari, or any other Shinto god. We're all (mostly) kitsune here. Your number of tails must not be higher than nine; no winged kitsune or snake tailed ones or other odd sorts of hybrid characters are allowed.

6. Within our continuity, kitsune have only one specific, dominant element. No crossbreeds should occur; a kitsune pair of mates will produce a kit of only one element, regardless of what their own elemental types were. Older kitsune are able to study in a subordinate element and gain minor control over it. Conflicting dominant and subordinate elements, such as void/celestial or fire/water, should be handled with care - they're rare, and you may be called into question if you play a kitsune with such.

7. We do not encourage pedophilia within the dream, and as such, kit characters are absolutely forbidden to take mates or 'pre-mates' (kitsune do not get betrothed!). Crushes are fine, but save the grown up stuff for the grown up characters, gotcha?

8. Both ninetailed kitsune and the ryuu (dragons) are localspecies within the dream; only those who have permission from the Rah are able to play as them.
